Puddles

The first rains of winter,
gurgling gutters,
galoshes sloshing home from school
and sailing wooden boats
in muddy pools –
the swollen creek
rushing its treasure
from the hills,
old tennis balls
and paper picnic plates,
rags caught on twigs
like coloured flags
and broken crates –
now, as the long hot summer ends,
the raindrops grow
from a patter to a roar –
and you and I lie talking
of how simple life was then
and wonder why we seldom see
a wooden boat
or hear the sloshing of galoshes
any more....

.....We have now made history at Mueller.....

Ivy covered arches
and soft green playing fields
with white clad cricketers
in floppy hats
bowling a small red ball
without a trace of malice
toward the one who bats –
ladies dressed in chiffon,
sitting in dappled shade,
applauding their flannel heroes
between sips of lemonade –
It’s different now –
they have their killer instinct
so I’m told –
their women dressed in jeans,
abuse the umpire and swear
because the beer’s not cold –
they say it’s all big business
and you’ve got to know the score
but somehow it seems to me
that cricket
just isn’t cricket any more –

If our only talent
is for loving,
perhaps we have been given
the greatest gift
of all....

I saw a lone white seagull,
graceful, proud and free,
soaring in solitary splendour
on a journey to the sea –
then over the sunburned river bed,
above the cracked brown clay,
a squabbling flock of predators
shrieked down upon its prey –
how need or greed or loneliness
can steal our dignity –
but in us all
is a lone white gull
with the courage to be free –

Everyone has ditched for Easterfest :(
And my daddy is halfway to Gladstone in a  tiny little sailboat in the massiveragingcanivorous Pacific ocean.  :S
City trippin Tuesday! woot :)
I need to fill up the "book of utmost importance" soon - contributions will be appreciated :)
Monkeys on the barricades
Are warning us to back away
They form commissions trying to find
The next one they can crucify

And anger plays on every station
Answers only make more questions
I need something to believe in

you make me sick, Bush

What a pity
so many people
confuse peace
with boredom…..

Wednesday, 20 April 2011

Friday was pretty good, although it is true that answers only make more questions. The biggest thing I learnt is that God is angry. If I think that I am fuming about all this - little puny tiny insignificant me - then God of the universe is a heck of a lot more angry, and he will come soon and these people will be stripped bare before Him. And that is the only way that I can sleep at night. Funny isnt it? The wrath of God is not something we hear about too much in church these days, every week in church or chapel, all we seem to get is Jesus loves you, Jesus loves you, we're all h-a-p-p-y..  But I think that realising Gods absolute soverignty and anger at the utter atrocities committed in His name, realising that He is judge and avenger, is equally - if not more imporant - than he loves us, he loves us... I cannot wait for justice to be done. And I know that I deserve the same as they do - we are all bad people... but still this stuff is just so intense and confusing and on such a massive scale, that for once, I am truly struggling to love, when because of you, millions of people have been killed and are still being killed as a result, and are sweeping it nicely under the carpet so that noone - or precious few- have even heard a hint of it, words cant express my gadlfjadsfkjaoweifrfdfweohadfjfdj  at all this. But these words are my comfort: "'It is mine to avenge, I will repay,' says the Lord."

Took some lessons from my sister :P   I love you my friends!  :D
It is sad to watch
those busy, commercial bees –
do they think
they can sting humanity
into an awareness
of their own importance?

I fear the law
has gone beyond
being ‘a pompous ass’ –
it is becoming a vile serpent
which no longer
represents
justice –

Well, our dear Nanushka, I would say it already has become a vile serpent, too far gone now the clock cant be turned back, especially when the so-called 'law' is owned and controlled by such rich monsters that care for nothing save their own wealth and power. I know I'm the biggest pessimist, but its the truth. And i will stop there, you've got no idea how much self control it takes to not go off on an endless tirade on this silly blog. But really...what scumbags.

Dirty politics,
dirty wars
and dirty money –
make the dirt
in my garden
seem so clean…..

Natures finest green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Last seen
happily climbing
onto a golden horse
on the social merry-go-round –
I wonder if she’ll get off
before it whirls her
into oblivion…..

=D RENAL PELVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

I don't think I have ever been so excited for holidays in my life! Maybe it is because year 12 is so incredibly stressful, and this sudden release of stress makes us so much more grateful. :)
We got our jerseys today!  Ping:)it, Strong-it:), Rapp-it and Lock<3it!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha except my smilie face looks very demented!  I love you my friends :)
Has the law
become a monstrous game,
played only by the lawyer,
judge and magistrate,
where those of us
who do not know the rules,
lose every time –
and then must pay the players
to decide our fate…..

Please Pray

...please
Who makes the rules?
Who says where duty ends
and life begins?
Can passion be a bore?
Perhaps we have been taught too well
that love is just another chore –

Free, as the wind upon the ocean,
free, as a bird about to fly,
free, as a tiger in a jungle, –
freedom, that’s the universal cry –
but do we cry
for freedom without thinking –
like a child wants everything he sees –
de we know that freedom can be lonely…..
do we really have the courage
to be free?
Free, as a gypsy in the winter,
free, as a bird with out a sky,
free, as a dolphin without water,
freedom –
that’s the universal cry…..
